I am a visual artist, designer, academic lecturer, mother of three kids and one dog.
In my works I explore topics such as: the importance of the medium in the reception of an art, the perception of the material in design, the fetishes of art history, including symbolism and iconographic schemes. Women’s topics such as a corporeality and social roles are also close to my heart. I value a joke as an important tool in design, especially speculative one.
I run practical classes in design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, as well as my own lectures on materials science, which I prefer to call „material sensing”. At work with students, I focus more on the experience and the process than on the result itself.
Despite over 25 years in art, I still can get emotional in front of a painting. I never part with a 6B pencil.
I live and work in Warsaw and wear a mole on the right and heart on the left side.
